WHY CHOOSE US?

Event flowers with a concience

Beth is the owner of Gloucestershire based Honeymoon Fern, providing sustainable wedding and event flowers along with thoughtful funeral arrangements and seasonal bouquets for local delivery.

Flowers are garden-grown or from other local growers between April and October, whilst out of season, they are still British but sourced from slightly further afield, supplemented by dried material along with whatever the winter garden might offer.

Beth is proud to be an ambassador of Sustainable Church Flowers and gives demonstrations and workshops to church and community groups who are interested in reducing the environmental impact of their floral arrangements.

HOW WE STARTED

A LOVE STORY
that still blooms today

In September 1920 my grandparents married and went on honeymoon to Dartmoor. They brought back a small fern as a memento and planted it in their garden.

They cared for it and it flourished, moving with them whenever they moved house. Since then it has lived in gardens in Surrey, Hampshire, Cheshire and as far north as Aberdeenshire, a long way from its Devon roots.

In the 1980s, my Mother took over the care of the very special fern, and now it’s my turn as custodian - and I’m happy to say that it is thriving in my Gloucestershire garden.  I’m sure that my lovely grandparents would be very happy to know that it’s still doing well almost a century later and now has a business - Honeymoon Fern - named in its honour.

Beth was extremely friendly and easy to deal with and we immediately felt that we were in safe hands. We also loved that all of the flowers in our arrangements were going to be British grown.
